Each drone has a gyro sensor that helps the drone stabilize and center itself during flight. Occasionally, you might see your drone drift one way without any flight commands or an air current. When this happens, it means the gyro sensor is a little off and it will constantly try to find what it thinks is the correct position.
The best way to fix drifting issues is by changing the trim values. You can do this in two ways. First, you can use the trim buttons on the remote control. Each direction has its own trim button, and those can be found around your remote control’s power button. Whenever you press a trim button, the controller will beep. There will be two beeps when the maximum trim setting is reached.
You can also trim using Blockly. When you pair your drone and remote to Blockly, you will see options to change the trim values on the bottom left. We suggest trimming this way because you can actually see the values you are changing.
In this lesson we will go over both ways of trimming.
