Build the Gorilla Bot

1. Use four long bolts to attach one blueboard on top of two blueboards. This will give you a wider base to work with.
2. Bolt four short standoffs to the blueboard base. The ends of the short L-frames that are sticking up should be facing the outer edges of the blueboards. Pay attention to their placement!
3. Bolt the DC motors to the short L-frames, and then flip everything upside down.

1. Make two sets of long metal frames by attaching a 4-hole metal frame to a 10-hole metal frame.
2. Make four sets of stacked standoffs and attach them to the long metal frames. Pay attention to their placement!

• Two sets should be one short standoff and two long standoffs.
• Two sets should be one long standoff and one short standoff.

1. Bolt the Smart Inventor Board to the shorter stacked standoffs.
2. Attach a long standoff to each bottom corner of the Smart Inventor Board.

1. Build two more sets of stacked standoffs with one short standoff and one long standoff for each set.
2. Build two 12-hole metal frames by overlapping two 10-hole metal frames. Each set should have one hole sticking out at each end.
3. Bolt these, along with a blueboard, to the standoffs around the Smart Inventor Board.
4. Attach the stacked standoffs you made to the standoffs at the bottom corners of the Smart Inventor Board.
5. Bolt 10-hole metal frames to two horn brackets.
6. Build four sets of stacked standoffs. Each set should have two short standoffs.
7. Attach the stacked standoffs to the 7th and 10th holes of the 10-hole metal frames, and then attach a 4-hole metal frame to the standoffs.
8. Instead of bolting the standoff into the 10th hole on the 10-hole metal frame, use a short standoff to secure it.

1. Attach two long bolts to the battery box.
2. Attach the battery box to the blueboard on top of the Smart Inventor Board.

1. Flip the wide blueboard base upside down so the motors are underneath.
2. Bolt the base to the stacked standoffs.

1. Attach the horn brackets to the motors with black screws.
2. Bolt the wheels to the standoffs at the end of each arm.

To wire your Gorilla Bot, place it so the Smart Inventor Board is facing you.

• The motor on your right is M1.
• The motor on your left is M2.
• Attach the motors to their respective spots on the Smart Inventor Board (M1, M2, M3, and M4 are all marked).
• Make sure that the red wires are the in the negative position (facing the inside) and that the black wires are in the positive position (facing the outside)!
