Installing Software

Check out the video, or follow the steps below to get Arduino installed on your computer.

Arduino is open source, which means anyone (including you) can download and use it for freeeeeeee! To download and install, go to the Arduino website, select the best package for your operating system, and then download. PLEASE NOTE: The Arduino Web Editor is not compatible with the CoDrone Pro since you cannot select the Rokit board used to upload programs to the CoDrone Pro.

When the download is finished, open and run the downloaded installer.

Select all of the components! You don’t have to check all of the shortcuts they suggest, but we recommend creating at least one to make your life easier.Select install to start installation to the default folder.Once Arduino is finished installing, hit close and you should have an Arduino icon on your desktop or in your start menu!Robolink created a lot of CoDrone functions and put them all in the CoDrone library in Arduino. If you want to use them, you need to install the CoDrone library through the Arduino Library Manager.

First, open Arduino and go to Sketch > Include Library > Manage Libraries.

A Library Manager dialog box should appear. Filter your search by typing CoDrone in the search box.

You should see CoDrone by Robolink in the search results. If you don’t see the CoDrone library, it’s probably time to update your Arduino IDE.

Next, select the library and click the Install button!

You should see INSTALLED next to the library. Remember to update your libraries often!
